Tropical Pool Forum, now known as Tropical Pool Guide, serves as your trusted and independent resource for pool owners throughout tropical Asia, encompassing Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and other countries in the region.

We are dedicated to empowering homeowners by providing clear, practical, and reliable knowledge, enabling you to maintain a beautiful, safe, and enjoyable swimming pool without incurring unnecessary expense or undue stress.

Originally launched to foster community discussion, we have evolved into Tropical Pool Guide to focus even more sharply on comprehensive, accessible educational content and expert guidance.

We promote a simple, inexpensive, and effective approach to pool design, finishes, equipment, and care tailored specifically to the unique challenges of tropical climates, high humidity, heavy monsoons, intense UV exposure, and persistent algae risks. Our goal is to help you achieve crystal-clear water and long-lasting results through balanced chemistry, low-maintenance surfaces, and solutions that put the power back in your hands.

TPG is a non-profit initiative run by a collaborative network of dedicated contributors. Our content draws from the collective experience of industry experts, swimming pool installers across Southeast Asian countries, professional pool technicians, hotel owners, and fellow homeowners. 

We work in conjunction with leading organizations including the Malaysian Swimming Pool Association (MSPA), Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government (KPKT) – Malaysia, ASEAN Patio Pool Spa Expo (APPS – Thailand), Singapore Swimming Pools & Aquatic Association (SPAA), Building and Construction Authority (BCA), National Environment Agency (NEA) – Singapore, and Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA).

This shared expertise ensures our guides, comparisons, and tips are reliable, up-to-date, and relevant to real-world conditions in the region. We display no advertising, and our advice remains completely independent of financial incentives. The site is sustained entirely by voluntary user donations to cover server costs and ongoing development.
